You will be creating a blog today and Thursday, and it will be graded.

Choose a topic related to an upcoming event. Possibilities abound: the Super Bowl, a concert, a new album or movie, the Iowa caucuses. You get the idea.

Do research on the topic and write a forward-looking blog of at least 300 words. Follow journalistic style. Be accurate, interesting and unbiased. Write concisely. Keep you and your opinions out of the story

Your blog must include these elements:

• One or more photos
• At least one video
• Three or more seamless links to news stories from reputable sources, like The New York Times and Washington Post.

All of these items should serve and strengthen the story.
